First of all, congratulations on your engagement!

There are few events in our lives more impactful than a wedding. Art is an authentic investment that magnifies the romance and magic of the special day. Be it intimate with only your closest friends and family, or a grandiose dream of splendour and festivities - turning that pure emotion into a timeless original painting is why I do what I do. The opportunity to capture your special day is absolutely surreal.

Live Wedding Painting is a timeless tradition that’s made a resurgence in recent years as a luxurious addition to the modern wedding, and I’m so excited to bring it to Gippsland. But what’s it all about, how does it work, and why has it suddenly grown so popular?

PAINTING

Art’s purpose is to start conversations - for some, the studio is private and purely brick and mortar. As a Live Wedding Painter, I bring my easel and paints to you and invite all to the unique experience of watching as your masterpiece is created over the duration of the day, but also ask an award-winning local artist questions, share stories and have fun.

It’s elegant. It’s timeless. It’s unexpected  and authentic, and your guests are sure to be talking about it long after the night ends.

BRINGING THE STUDIO

TO YOU

IT ALL STARTS

WITH A CHAT

More than anything, I love having a genuine connection with my clients. After making an enquiry about availability and locking in your date with a 20% deposit, we will have a personal design consultation roughly 4-6 weeks before your wedding to chat palette, scene, and most importantly, get a vibe for each other so that I can paint the perfect artwork for your day that reflects you, your space and your story.

PROCESS

the

I will arrive 1-2 hours prior to the ceremony to block in the background and composition, and continue this as you get married. At your convenience dicussed during our consultation, I will complete a private photoshoot for reference to introduce the two of you into your painting for your guests’ entertainment over the next 5-7 hours.

At the end of the night, your portrait will be detailed but still in need of polishing and refining. I will find you for a reveal and give you time to enjoy your original oil painting before whisking it away to my studio, where I will continue to work on it and make it perfect.

After the wedding, I will take your painting back to the studio to work the final touches, apply an archival varnish, and get your painting ready to hang up & look amazing from the moment it’s in your home. Expect this to take between 8-12 weeks, depending on the size of your painting and whether or not a professional gallery frame is included in your package.

WALL-READY &

TIMELESS

Once the painting is complete and ready for its new home, you will be contacted to arrange collection or personal delivery within Gippsland. If required, your new artwork will be professionally packed, protected and shipped to you. A shipping fee, if needed, will be included in your quote at booking.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

QUESTIONS

CAN I HIRE YOU

AS A WEDDING GIFT

Absolutely. A few amazing friends and brilliant people have already done this, and it’s such a unique gift perfect for the couple that already has everything that they need. My process is very involved, so I recommend that the newlyweds know about the gift prior to the wedding and can enjoy the experience of collaborating with their artist. However, if you have a cheeky idea or two to make it a complete surprise, I’m always down to conspire (read: brainstorm ideas).

WHAT IF WE ALREADY

GOT MARRIED?

I currently have availability for extra commissions - if you’ve already had your big day and want a painting, feel free to make an enquiry. These kinds of projects excite me, because it’s an opportunity to collaborate with another creative style, and make something truly unexpected.

DO YOU TRAVEL

OUTSIDE GIPPSLAND?

My focus as a Live Wedding Painter is within Gippsland, and any travel costs are included in my quotes within the region. However, I also love travel. If you are planning on getting married outside Gippsland and want me to paint your wedding, let me know in your enquiry and we will work something out.

DOES IT COME

FRAMED

The Heirloom Package includes a professional gallery frame made locally in Gippsland.

WE’RE GETTING

ELOPED!

While I don’t offer a dedicated elopement package, I’ll absolutely paint your intimate affair. Let’s have a chat, and see how I can fit into your elopement, be it as a Live Wedding Painter, working with one of your stunning professional photos, or as an exclusive, private session.

HOW DO I

CARE FOR THE PAINTING?

With my archival varnish, you don’t have to worry about dust or light damaging the oil paints. However, when you’re finding a place to show your new original painting off, I recommend a wall away from excess heat such as a heater, split system or fireplace.
