In ten years, this couple have built foundations to be commended and a family that’s creative, driven and adventurous. This project - for me - is filled with nostalgia and emotion, remembering their wedding in Gippsland as a guest as I was beginning my journey as an artist. While Live Wedding Painting wasn’t something in my toolbox as a guest, revisiting the day to collaborate with the original wedding gallery and create an oil painting completely unique makes such a wonderful anniversary gift.

This painting is currently in the studio and a work in progress. The pigments will be very soft and almost pastel, inspired by impressionists such as Monet and Cezanne, and the background will be abstracted to modernize the 1920’s style of the original gallery, create a dynamic composition, and still keep focus on the elegant couple.
